The Abstract World series, originally titled "Effervescent Worlds," started out as a way to commemorate and celebrate the various ecosystems earth contains. Each painting represents a world that exists on this planet. We are the only planet we know of that has been able to support such a vast and complex set of ecosystems. We are the only planet that has the resources to make life possible; water, an atmosphere, and a molten core. In this series, I attempted to convey the story of how lucky we are to have life that coexists and works harmoniously with each other. Instead of taking our planet and our life for granted, I believe we should be celebrating life and the forces that make it possible for life to exist. We should be doing what we can to protect and safeguard our resources and our planet, so that future generations have the opportunity to live as we do, if not better.
We are living in a time where our planet is facing severe threats. It is a time in which greedy members of the human race are prioritizing their profits over the safety of our world, our ecosystem, and the life that depends on it. I started to create these paintings as a way to raise awareness on the importance of appreciating the life that surrounds us. We are so lucky to have what we have. When we work and live together harmoniously, everyone wins; from the smallest creature to the largest, from the least to the most complex. When we start supporting each other, looking out for each other, everyone benefits, and we create a planet that can continue to thrive for years to come. As this series has continued to evolve, it has taught me that each decision we make, each action we take has a significant impact on everything that surrounds us. We need to be working together, mindfully and intentionally.

"My husband and I moved into our new home and was inspired by Samantha's artwork. We wanted to fill our home with some of her paintings, and purchased an original (Morning Mist) and two of her prints (After, and Sacred Land).
We loved "Morning Mist" and it hangs over our fireplace. It creates a stark contrast with the function of our fireplace. Samantha's paintings embody so much energy, and provides the viewer with a glimpse into an etherial world where wonder exists. Her originals have a textural layer that provides an extra dimension into these heavenly landscapes.
My husband and I constantly find something new when looking at the paintings, and generates great conversations amongst our guests. They feel that it works really well within our home. The one thing I can say is that Samantha is such a reasonable and nice person. She loves what she does, and works really hard to make sure that she embodies her creative window into her paintings. We've made a personal visit to her studio, and was astounded by all of her active paintings, and the sheer scale of some of the paintings. She is such a beautiful person, and a delight to talk to. We highly recommend seeing the works in person, and definitely talk to Samantha, she has a really good sense in reading people and determining what works for them.
