The Story:

Sacred Land was inspired by my desire to bring awareness to the beautiful nature that surrounds us.  These paths, forests, and woods are sacred, whether or not the government labels them as so. They are the source of life for many living things. They provide our oxygen, support our ecosystems, and are a source for humans to find clarity in this crazy, mixed up world we live in. I created this painting as a way to take a stand against the greed that exists in our world. Throughout history people have destroyed lands in search of monetary wealth, destroying the wealth that exists in nature. Mankind has chosen to disregard life. We chose our greed over how our actions were disturbing the lives of others, who don't always have a voice. I was hoping by depicting these lands, people will start to appreciate the nature that our planet supplies, and chose to cherish it instead of destroying it.
